With the innovative “Steps to Public Service” initiative, the Berlin School of Economics and Law (HWR) offers a targeted qualification program. This sub-project of the Regional Integration Network Berlin (RIN) aims to enable foreign graduates living in Berlin to take up appropriate professional activities in the Berlin administration. The aim of the project is to counteract the shortage of skilled workers and make a significant contribution within the framework of the Participation and Migration Act. By increasing the proportion of people with a migration background in the administration, integration is to be promoted and entry into the Berlin labor market facilitated.
Duration
The qualification period usually lasts one year, but can be extended. The course can be completed while working, with the qualification formats being selected from the range of university courses according to individual needs, e.g. in block form, online or in terms of time slots.
