World Refugee Day

by | 20. Jun 2024 | Partnership

June 20 is World Refugee Day. The date once again raises awareness of how many people are forced to flee their homes - and seek protection here in Berlin, among other places.

With our project Einstieg zum Aufstieg we are also helping to offer these people self-determined prospects in their new environment. As a non-profit organization, we place people with refugee experience in the labour market in the Berlin-Brandenburg metropolitan region – an important prerequisite for successful integration.

We are convinced that everyone has the right to a self-determined life. And we are grateful to be able to make an active contribution to this: In 2023, we successfully placed around 80 people with refugee experience in jobs, training and further education. This year, we have already placed 50 people in jobs.

Our wish on this day: Help us to break down barriers and open up opportunities. Integration thrives on solidarity and cohesion. Together, we can help to ensure that Germany remains a country of diversity and humanity.
